Summary0000273: Audio Quality
Descriptioni've "studied" the quality stars at a lot of animes and found out that they usually goes by video quality, but sometimes when the sound is a little buggy, it seems to take down the rating for the video also, i suggest that it could be solved with one qualty field for video and one for audio. i dont really know how much code has to be changed to take care of this matter, so just take this post as a suggestion.

I personally think that it would be easier to choose wich group for downloading if you have BOTH audio and vido qualtiy measurments.

i really want to hear your replys ^^
Additional Informationi have made it into a thread in the forum at AniDB.Net Forum Index -> Feature Requests, http://www.anidb.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4302

Sounds like a familiar suggestion, although I can't immediately find it on the forum. This would, of course, be welcome if people could be relied on to use it correct, but too many would find this much harder to judge than video quality, and even that gets a lot of wildly and obviously incorrect ratings if your suggestion that people use the current quality field for it is accurate.

Perhaps stronger guidelines for how to judge overall quality as a combination of video and audio would be more useful... sure, most people won't read them, but those people are the same ones who are currently setting everything that comes off a DVD to `very high' without thinking.

(Also, do check the project you're submitting the bug report for; it defaults to your current view. This isn't a UDP issue.)
