Summary0000285: Merge agvote with agcmts (Group for Anime) -or- add a Graph
DescriptionGroup-anime-votes (agvote) are most of the time either misleading (0-10 vote wars) or hidden (less than 10 votes). The best suggestion is to make it like the current anime Reviews system; you must comment to rate. Another (easier) possibility would be to show a graph of votes, but that doesn't fix the root of the problem.
Additional InformationThat would mean to wipe all Group-anime-votes and to keep all the current comments. If it's possible, use the agvote of the person who did the agcmt in the transition. If it's not possible, all current comments should have a neutral vote (5) and a notification to the commenter should be sent to tell him that he should adjust his vote.

Oh and while we're at it. Increasing the comment character limit would be useful. I just wrote another 3500 word comment, forgot the limit was 1000 -.-

i thought we agreed that we don't want fansub reviews, but that is what this would turn into i fear.

In my opinion, votes, as they are now, are even worse than comments. For example people voting low because they couldn't manage to play the files properly, people voting low because they prefer another group, people voting high because they like the group. At least with a graph or with forced comments, one can have a slightly better idea of the real value of the group-for-anime than with one average number. I'm sure a lot of people would rather see that number go away completely because it is almost always completely wrong.
